Austin-Healey Memories Author: Wagner, B Covers: In 1958, while volunteering as a corner worker at Road America, I met a few older gentlemen racing what were Bob Wagner Mequon, Wisconsin WISCONSIN CHAPTER then considered “vintage” cars. Some had converted streetcars, others had dedicated racecars, but all were track-ready. The rules back then were relaxed, the community tight-knit – almost like family. Not many of those early racers are around anymore, but the spirit they shared stuck with me. Marque

The 2025 Mid-America Classic Author: Powell, D Covers: The 2025 Mid-America Classic, an Austin-Healey Club of America “regional meet,” was hosted by the Mid-Ohio Austin-Healey Club (MOAHC) and held September 14-17 at the new Hocking Hills State Park Lodge in Southeastern Ohio. The event was billed as “A Driving Adventure” to explore the region’s stunning rock formations, towering cliffs, beautiful waterfalls, recess caves and deep, hemlockshaded gorges. After 41 cars were registered Sunday afternoon, the participants were treated to a welcome pizza dinner hosted by the MOAHC. Marque

A Healey Adventure…with Glen and Karen Schimmelpfennig, Dennis and Cay Walkingshaw, Peter and Victoria Davies of the Bonneville Austin-Healey Club – what a blast! There they joined up with 11 other cars and went on a Sierra Passes Tour which was led by David Nock of the Golden Gate Austin-Healey Club. David does this drive each year and it was worth the extra effort to participate. The scenery, the fellow Healey owners and the drive itself are fantastic. Healey folks are just wonderful people.
