| Vignetted from Healey History | Author: Piggott, B | Covers: The caption goes on to state that the car was a 3000 model, but I am sure that this is wrong, for the VXP38 license plate is a London issue dating from September 1958, a year before the 3000 was publicly launched. In addition, the telltale central pressed “crease” along the length of the bonnet (hood) is just visible, and this was a peculiarity only found on the 100/6 cars. By 1962 this actual car may well have received 3000 updates such as disc front brakes, particularly if it was regularly raced. | Marque |
